Designed by Verner Panton in the 1960’s, this S-shaped plastic chair is considered one of the world’s first molded chairs and is considered to be a masterpiece of Danish designs. Panton too dreamt of making a stackable plastic chair that is all one piece and his idea for the S chair was actually thought to have been inspired by a neatly stacked pile of plastic buckets.
In 1956, he designed the S Chair which is a chair in which the back, seat, and legs are made of one continuous piece and the S Chair was considered a forerunner to the Panton Chair. The strong, yet flexible moulded shell is manufactured from high-quality fiberglass in keeping with the original style of Panton design. The S chair is availble in stunning and vibrant colours, also in high quality and strong molded ABS.
