The Bibendum Chair is amazingly comfortable, it’s curvy, stylish and downright friendly. Polished chromium plated tubular steel base. Fully upholstered seat, back and armrests in high quality faux Leather, Hard Wearing, soft and durable.
Eileen Gray used this chair in a few of her interiors. The design was influenced by the famous 'Bibendum' Michelin Man of inflated tyres, which remains Michelin's trade mark. She was also jesting that this was her response as a feminist to Le Corbusier's 'Grand Confort'. Its back and arm rest are fashioned from two semi-circular padded tubes covered in the softest leather.. The Bibendum chair is a master piece of design classics and stands on its own as a modern deco style statement, combining comfort with style and functionality. Those huge padded leather strips are made for sinking into. You can curl right into this chair and revel in its plush comfort. The Bibendum Armchair is sure to brighten up any stylish and fashionable interior design.
